Why hello there! Once again, I've neglected this blog's existence. I'm horrible at making updates.
Well, life is pretty monotonous. I think I need a part-time job so I'm busier and less bored with my free time, despite all the possibilities in how I could spend it.
Video games aren't fun like they used to be. Am I really getting old now? My hobbies don't entertain me like they used to. It's hard for a movie to keep my attention these days. Nothing interests me!
Perhaps an out-of-state vacation is long overdue. I need to get away from everything. But where would I go? What's there to see out there? Why am I unable to remain content being here?
ER MER GERD.

Why hello there!
It's been more than a year since my last entry. Why does this seem so familiar?
It's really hard to stay dedicated writing entries as frequently as possible. Hopefully I can keep the momentum going this time, but I'm certainly not holding my breath.
What's new lately? Well, Sid and I are officially roomies and have our own place of residence that we can call ours. This is the first time I've lived away from my parents with a significant other. It doesn't feel much different from our previous living situation since Sid and I basically lived with each other at both my parents' house and his family's house during different points of our relationship.
Having our own place is a lot of fun. We live in a condo called Loft 5 which offers a loft-style apartment unit complete with quality furnishings and appliances. The things I love most about our unit are the incredibly high ceilings that evoke a sense of great spaciousness and our slick-looking kitchen. The condo also includes a great amenities package. There's a full-fledged gym, 4 pools (albeit tiny pools), a dance studio, an events room that you can reserve for parties and whatnot. It's all very nice. It costs a fair bit to live here, but I think it's the perfect space for Sid and myself.
Another new thing I'd like to announce is that I'm officially a dog owner. I never thought the day would come because I never considered myself to ever possess an affinity for animals, but I've certainly proven myself wrong. We are proud owners of two bulldogs (one French, the other English). Although, the Frenchie somewhat resembles a Boston Terrier more than what it's claimed to be. They're the most adorable things and I heart them to death.
Lastly, I've finally found my first decent job in Las Vegas since I've moved here in 2006. The pay isn't anything special, but I feel like I work for a really progressive, intelligent, and forward-thinking company called Strategic Telecom Solutions. They're a business partner of Sprint and primarily sell wireless devices like cell phones and aircards, but do other miscellaneous things related to the wireless industry. I'm basically a data entry monkey like in my previous jobs, but the pay is a lot better here. Also, the benefits package is really great compared to anywhere else I've ever worked. The only sucky thing is how PTO is accumulated - very slowly. Also, job security is growing concern for me with this company due to its diminutive size. I've only ever worked for major corporations and haven't had the best of experiences with them, so hopefully this chance I'm taking with a smaller company will prove to be beneficial for me in the future.
That's pretty much it as far as what's new in my life. I will work harder to update this more frequently since I really miss writing in a blog. I definitely feel rusty at expressing my thoughts via formulating sentences coherently. I've detached myself from anything remotely academic for a long, long time and hope that writing in this blog will rejuvenate me in some way.
Holla!

Been making some progress in Tales of Vesperia. So far I've logged 30 hours into this game. I did a little research on my play history with it, and it looks like I've been playing this game for TWO YEARS and still haven't beaten it yet! I'm horrible with my commitment to games these days. Anyways, I'm guessing I'm two thirds done with it. I hope I'm close to the end, I just want to be able to finish something, ANYTHING this month.
Also, I went and ordered Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Wii) and Katamari Forever (PS3) for shits and giggles!

I've gotten my Pokemon groove back! I managed to put in a decent amount of time into HeartGold. Currently, I have 7 gym badges and about 70 monsters in my Pokedex. My favorite part about these games is actually related to grinding, particularly when you get to see your Pokemon evolve into their next stage. It gives me warm, fuzzy feelings seeing my Rattata mutate into a Raticate or my Flaaffy morph into an Ampharos and get the nice stat bonuses that go along with the evolution. I guess I'm addicted to that aspect of it. Another thing I love about these games is that I feel it's an RPG series that's less about story and more about exploration. I don't really value story in video games (though I do appreciate them if they're done well), I value gameplay. Exploration is a part of that. Pokemon does a great job of giving the player a sense of exploring a vast world.
I picked up a copy of White Knight Chronicles Intl Edition on the cheap: $16. I've heard mediocre reviews of it, even underwhelming and sometimes bad reviews of it, but I'm not against giving it a chance.
Also, I got to try out Wii Party with Sid. Basically a Mario Party clone minus the Mario characters and substituted with your Miis. It's a lot of fun.
